HVAC Brands We Install & Service
Updated June 2026 · 6 min read
For a new system, Logan Mechanical standardizes on two brands we're factory-credentialed to install: Trane, where we're a Trane Comfort Specialist, and Mitsubishi Electric, where we're a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor. But your home may already run a different brand — so our union-trained techs also install and service most major equipment, including Rheem, Carrier, Daikin, and Bosch.
Which HVAC brands does Logan install in the DMV?
We make a deliberate distinction. When you're buying a new system, we recommend Trane or Mitsubishi Electric, because those are the two manufacturers we hold earned credentials with — and credentials mean factory training, the right tools, and installs done to the spec the warranty depends on. When you already own another major brand, we install and service it too, so you're never forced into a full replacement just to get reliable help.
Trane — our ducted workhorse (Trane Comfort Specialist)
Trane is one of the most established names in HVAC, known for durable, well-tested equipment across air conditioning, heating, and heat pumps. As a Trane Comfort Specialist — an earned designation, not something every dealer carries — our crews are qualified to install and service Trane to manufacturer spec. It's our default for whole-home ducted comfort. We go deeper in is Trane a good brand? and you can see the lineup on our air conditioning services page.
Mitsubishi Electric — our ductless & cold-climate leader (Diamond Contractor)
Mitsubishi Electric leads the industry in ductless and inverter-driven systems, and its cold-climate heat pumps hold strong heat output deep into a DMV winter. Logan is a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor — the highest installer tier Mitsubishi awards — so we're the right team for additions, older homes, and room-by-room zoning. Learn more in Mitsubishi Electric, explained, or see our heat pump services.
Trane or Mitsubishi — which is right for your home?
Both are excellent; the better choice depends on your house, your ductwork, and how you want to control comfort. Trane is the stronger default for ducted central systems, while Mitsubishi wins for ductless, zoned, and cold-climate situations. Our head-to-head Trane vs. Mitsubishi guide walks through it, and either way the SEER2 efficiency tier you pick shapes both upfront cost and running cost.
Brands we also install & service
Plenty of DMV homes already run another major brand, and there's no reason to rip out a system that's working. We install and service the major manufacturers, including:
- Rheem — a widely installed American brand spanning ACs, furnaces, heat pumps, and water heaters.
- Carrier — one of the oldest names in air conditioning, found in a great many DMV homes.
- Daikin — a global manufacturer with a broad ductless and inverter lineup.
- Bosch — known for efficient inverter heat pumps and notably quiet operation.
For these brands we focus on expert installation and service rather than carrying a factory designation — we steer new-system buyers toward Trane and Mitsubishi, where our credentials let us protect your warranty and dial the system in to spec.
The short version
Logan installs Trane (Comfort Specialist) and Mitsubishi Electric (Diamond Contractor) for new systems, and installs & services other major brands — Rheem, Carrier, Daikin, and Bosch — that homeowners already own. We standardize on the two we're credentialed for, but we'll never strand you because of the badge on your existing equipment.
Does the brand alone guarantee comfort?
No — and this is the part that matters most. Even the best brand underperforms when it's oversized, undersized, or sloppily installed. A premium system charged by feel and fed by leaky ducts will lose to a modest one that was sized with a real Manual J load calculation and commissioned properly. Manufacturer coverage also rewards professional installation and prompt registration — we explain how that works in Trane & Mitsubishi warranties explained.
How Logan installs every brand the right way
As a Trane Comfort Specialist and Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, our union-trained (UA Local 602) technicians start every job with a real load calculation, charge and commission the system to spec, and register it so your coverage stays intact — whether it's a brand we recommend or one you already own.
