Questions

  • What does SEER mean?

SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. A higher SEER rating means greater energy efficiency. Most modern air conditioners have a SEER that ranges from 13 to 21. An ENERGY STAR-qualified central air conditioner must have a SEER rating of 14.5 to qualify.

  • What is the lifespan of a heat pump?

The U.S. Department of Energy says the average lifespan of a heat pump is between 10 to 15 years. But the amount of use the unit has and if it is maintained on a regular basis can add a few more years.

  • Is there a financing option?

Yes, we do offer financing through Synchrony Financial; you will need to apply and be approved. The most common approval is 18 months, no interest.

  • How long is an estimate valid for?

Our estimates are valid for 30 days.

  • Can I self-purchase my own equipment for installation?

Typically, we do not install customer purchased equipment due to potential warranty and authenticity issues.

  • How often should I get preventative maintenance done?

We recommend having Preventative Maintenance performed twice a year, during the spring and fall, before turning on the unit for the season to ensure the system is operating properly.

  • What does preventative maintenance include?

Depending on the type of system you have, preventative maintenance tasks may differ.
